That's not un-American, just Un-Progressive. There was never a "right" to vote in the US until the Voting Rights Act of the 1960's. Since the time of the Greeks voting had always been considered a privilege and a responsibilty of citizenship, not a right....and our Founding Fathers agreed with that notion. |

Whilst I agree people should understand the political system they live in, excluding people would probably just play into the hands of the powers that be.
